Eldy è nato in Italia, a Vicenza. Le attività in Italia sono gestite direttamente dall’Associazione Eldy.

Eldy è il primo software gratuito dedicato a chi non ha molta familiarità con l’informatica ed in particolare a chi ha poca o nulla dimestichezza con il computer.
La “piazza” di Eldy
Eldy è interamente in italiano (quindi senza inglesismi), ha caratteri grandi, è semplice e facile da installare, e consente a tutti di avvicinarsi ai linguaggi e ai servizi usati principalmente dai giovani ad esempio la chat (chiacchiere), la mail(posta), internet, ed il pc in generale.
La posta di Eldy
Eldy è un freeware, cioè non ha alcun costo a tempo indeterminato, e non ha contenuti pubblicitari. Eldy NON è open source, ma ha profonde radici nella comunità Open source.

Eldy 2.2 is now available.
Just a few days before Christmas, Eldy No Profit Organization wanted to make a gift to its users spread all over the world.
To allow as many seniors as possible to jump into the technologic world, ELDY 2.2 is in 22 different languages, translated and heavily tested by mother tongue volunteers: Italian, UK English, USA English, French, German, Spanish, Catalan, Mexican Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Finnish, Swedish, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Greek , Hebrew, … a good start on Japanese version and Chinese as well.
This happened thank to the great cooperation of our volunteers on the Eldy.Net – the community for the global e-inclusion that helped translate our software in many other languages and localize Eldy in many countries all over the world. Thank all Eldy.net for this great achievement.
Eldy 2.2 has some other very interesting features (e.g. Event management)- we’ll publish a screencast about all new detail.
